Nokia has presented the first navigator
11 February 2007Finnish company Nokia officially had presented automobile GPS-navigator Nokia 330 Auto Navigation, news of which appeared in the Internet last week.
As the press release informed, the device would have gone on sale on the territory of Europe by the end of the current year. The navigator is supplied with the touch-sensitive display diagonal of which is three and a half of inches, and the flash-store with the capacity of 2 Gb with the maps of the European countries will be included to the set of delivery.
Owners of the Nokia 330 Auto Navigation can look through the maps in a bidimensional and three-dimensional representation. The developers provided a system of the visual and voice instructions, and also day time and night modes of the display. Besides, the device gives an opportunity of reproduction of musical files, video clips and digital photos.
The navigating software Route 66 Navigate 7 and maps made by company Navteq are used in the novelty. Cost of the novelty will reach about 360 euros. As for terms of the navigator to go on sale in Russian shops no information is reported.
It is necessary to note, that company Nokia has already produced multimedia mobile phones with the built - in receivers of global system of navigation GPS some time earlier. For example, mobile phone Nokia N95 which, besides the GPS-receiver, has the integrated camera of five mega pixels and the controller Wi-Fi can carry out functions of the navigator. However it was the first time for the navigation Nokia to be represented as the independent device.
