OCZ: 2 GB of DDR2 memory for laptops

12 July 2007

RAM memory space for a computer, both for the desktop computer and a mobile one is extremely important: appetites of the software grow very quickly. For maintenance of the praised by manufacturers of RAM’s multitasking it should be appropriate. Binuclear processors in more or less productive laptops have settled down already for a long time and no wonder that the demand for high capacity memory modules grows.
Company OCZ one of these days has announced modules of memory PC2-6400 (800 MHz) SO-DIMM with 2 GB volume. For the information - 2 GB is the maximal capacity for desktop computers. Memory works with delays 5-5-5-15 at voltage in 1,8 V. Such parameters imply rather high power consumption, and, consequently, heat generation. However, such production is intended for the latest super-power laptops, for which time of an independent work from batteries is not a parameter of the vital importance. The price of a novelty is not informed yet, but it for sure won’t be low. The company plans to sell it both separately, and in complete sets from two pieces in total volume of 4 GB.
