Motherboard with the built - in main memory is put on the market
19 July 2007Asustek has produced motherboard P5K3 Premium - the first card with built - in 2 GB module of DDR3 memory.
P5K3 Premium is based on a set of system logic Intel P35.
The manufacturer promises, that this card will allow to increase memory bandwidth to more than 1.5 GHz and to reduce delays at reading / recording by 50 percent.
There are no additional slots for memory modules on a motherboard, so RAM memory space can not be increased.
Besides the card is equipped with all necessary controllers: Serial ATA, 1 GB Ethernet-adapter and WiFi module working both as the client, and as a POP, HD-audio-module and two PCI-Express Ñ…16 sockets with support of Crossfire technology for connection of two videocards from ATI.
Cost of P5K3 Premium is not informed yet, but taking into account the price of 2 GB DDR3, presence of cooling system on copper tubes and rich opportunities for “acceleration”, the card is intended for “enthusiasts”.
