Panasonic Pixi – camera - case for mobile phone which exports photos to the Internet
30 August 2007Recently British design - studios Industrial Facility and Luckybite jointly with Madori Curoda, the chief designer of Panasonic mobile devices, have created the prototype of an unusual accessory - Panasonic Pixi. The invention is a case-frame for mobile phones. Pixi uses the camera of the phone, display and Internet - connection.
The task of the device is to provide fast posting of photos to multimedia Internets - archives, among which MySpace, YouTube and others. Pixi’s case has six minidisplays which are touch buttons and display last pictures from memory of the phone. Pressing a screen-icon activates Internet-connection and automatic loading of the image to a site according to preset parameters.
For the present time this accessory exists only as a concept, and nothing is informed about the beginning of industrial production. However, Panasonic has enough capacities to afford this risky enough experiment. Obviously, Pixi will be used first of all with Sony Ericsson devices, in fact the Japan-Swedish concern has the best conventional cameraphones.
