Systemax begins deliveries of protected laptop
3 September 2007Systemax Manufacturing has presented new protected portable computer, so called Assault Ruggedized notebook. The device is made in the strong case from magnesium-base alloy, which protects the gentle hardware. Special keyboard and touchpad are not susceptible to influence of moisture.
Strong defense begins to protect from damages processor Core 2 Duo (up to 2,33 GHz) on chipset Intel 945GM, up to 4 GB of main memory, graphic accelerator Intel with DirectX 9 support and 160 GB hard disk with SATA-interface.
The size of the display - 14 inches. There are two stereospeakers and three USB-ports. Laptop will be Windows - XP or Vista- based. In Systemax declare that Assault Ruggedized notebook can sustain without consequences falling from about 2,5 ft height; during exponential testing keyboard was exposed to water influence but computer passed the test.
In the USA laptop is sold for $1000 (base configuration), and buyers can choose a set of elements to their preferences.
