Microsoft has started to create updates for pirate Windows
9 October 2007Microsoft for the first time has created updating for the programs available for owners of pirate Windows copies.
Updating to browser Internet Explorer 7 will not check legality of the operational system. Thus, the company is going to reduce number of the users, who prefer competing programs.
Microsoft has created an update to the browser Internet Explorer 7 (IE7). The main change is in that, that the new version doesn’t have mechanism of compulsory registration and check on authenticity of the operating system (OS) Windows (earlier Windows Genuine Advantage proved an authenticity). Release of IE7 took place in the autumn of 2006, now its share on the market of browsers makes about 20 % (according to the British edition Tech). The program is distributed free-of-charge and works with Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Such Microsoft’s steps have simple underlying reason - the company wants to rise sales of the browser.
