Three new liquid-crystal monitors from Asus: 19, 20 and 22 inches
16 October 2007Asustek has announced three new liquid-crystal monitors display image size in 19, 20 and 22 inches.
The first model - VW198 - supports resolution 1680 x 1050 pixels (WSXGA +), is equipped with built-in stereo loud speakers with capacity in 1 watt, interfaces VGA and DVI. In the monitor firm technology ASCR (ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio Technology) is applied. It raises factor of dynamic picture contrast up to 3000:1. Brightness of the matrix makes 300 nit, response time - 5 msec.
Monitors VW202 and VW222 have the same resolution and brightness, but dynamic contrast is lower here - 2000:1, response time of the last model - only 2 msec. Both monitors as well as the first model, have Windows Vista certificate.
All three monitors will be available in various configurations. Variants VW198T, VW202T and VW222U have the built-in support of HDCP standard.
Terms of an entering the market and the price was not informed.
