Taiwanese electronics manufacturers will produce their iPhone’s analogue
18 October 2007Taiwanese companies have begun development of communicators with the displays, similar to iPhone.
The list of the future creators of Apple’s mobile phone contains Asustek Computer, BenQ, Compal Communications and Arima Communications.
iPhone-like products of these companies will be Windows Mobile based, completed with modules of GPS satellite navigation and will support 3G cellular networks. It is supposed that novelties will appear on sale in the first half of 2008.
According to the same sources, Nokia, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics are also engaged in the development of iPhone’s analogues. The presumable release date of novelties from these companies is same first half of 2008. DigiTimes marks, that the mobile phone from Nokia will be Symbian-based, and development from Samsung will use Microsoft production as a platform.
