22 October 2007

At an exhibition Korea Electronics Show 2007 Samsung has presented first in the world phone, which works on water. It was the special generating hydrogen battery, which has allowed to make it.

Inside the phone water reacts with metal, and as a result is gassed hydrogen, which is used as the power supply for the phone.

All similar systems existing today demanded in addition to water also some hydrogen methanol, but the novelty from Samsung needs only water.

As such battery can create up to 3 watt of electricity, it can be used only in mobile devices. One charge of the phone will be enough for 10 hours in a conversational mode, that is 2 times more, than from a usual accumulator.

Such accumulators can enter the market by 2010.
