Accumulators with the largest capacity in the world
17 December 2007Employees of the South Korean scientific research institute of power study have developed new industrial accumulators SMES with the largest capacity in the world.
New SMES systems can keep almost unlimited capacities of the electric power and give out with peak loading up to 1,03 megawatt per second, which will be enough to feed an average industrial factory.
Existing today SMES have some lacks: they need to be constantly charged, they are bulky and created from ecologically dangerous materials.
Developers informed that new accumulators will make almost invulnerable such establishment, as hospitals, companies-operators of communication, banks, security systems, military objects and other crucial units.
At present Korean experts work above reduction of device’s weight and increase of its characteristics.
