What a piece of paper? – It is a battery!
8 January 2008Finnish company Enfucell, apparently, sincerely wants to “lighten” our life. Their new product – is quite good support of this idea.
The work has been underway on creation of such accumulators at Technological university of Helsinki for five years - since 2002. And, as you can see, there are some results: the new power supply has thickness from 0.3 up to 1 mm.
Developers name their brainchild - SoftBattery. It is made of completely convertible and inexpensive materials, works at temperatures from -25?C up to +60?C and moisture-proof.
It is not difficult to guess, that this model will find wide application, and the technology itself will every day be in increasing demand. The new battery has capacity 4 milliampere/hour and gives 1.5 or 3 volt.
