New JVC palm-size cameras
24 January 2008Japanese company Victor (in the world known as JVC) has presented a new line of videocameras Everio GZ-MG740, GZ-MG730 and GZ-MG530. New cameras are equipped with Konica-Minolta optics with 10-fold enlargement and can record video with the highest possible resolution 720 x 480 pixels, and also to take photographs with the resolution from 5 up to 7 megapixels. According to the manufacturer, new Everio are palm-size devices, and their weight is about 380 g - 20 % less, than before, informs Gizmodo.
New Everio are equipped with hard disks from 30 up to 40 GB, depending on a model, enough for recording of about one and a half hours of video in MPEG-2 format. Memory size can be expanded by means of microSD or microSDHC cards. In summary it is necessary to note availability of ISO1000 mode, and also LCD of 122 thousand pixels. Dimensions of GZ-MG740, 730 and 530 make 69 x 119 x 69 mm.
Already soon cameras will be put on the Japanese market, and then in the USA. In USA JVC has already announced MG730 at the price of $800. Cost of other models will be the same or so. Deliveries in other regions are not informed.
