Smartphones of the future
12 March 2008Rob Enderle, main analyst of company Enderle, has stated his opinion concerning smartphones of the future.
As he said, there is obvious influence of 3 giants. Apple is the trendsetter for smartphones; Google cares for active introduction of Internets-utilities in phones and decrease in their final cost; Microsoft offers the recognized platform and wide communications with manufacturers.
Appearance of the device combines Apple’s grace and convenience of RIM BlackBerry, that is it will have a touch screen and full-size keyboard. The big role will be given to integration with other devices (for example, automobiles).
Intel with the platform Silverthrone will contribute its mite: new gadgets will be more productive, will have an improved interface and communication opportunities.
At last, reduction of price is possible due to integration of additional services, for example, mobile advertising or integration with virtual shop (music or books, for example).
