Rocket plane Lynx catches up with a train of space tourism
28 April 2008American corporation XCOR Aerospace announced about the project of suborbital tourist rocket plane “Lynx”, which flights is measured to be started in 2010. This device will contain two passengers: the pilot and the passenger. Lynx will give them an opportunity to admire stars in the black sky, blue atmosphere and a brief edge of our native planet.
Though the prices for tickets are not declared yet, the company believes, that its device will appear one of the most inexpensive, simple, reliable and easy devices in service among all competitors in the given area.
As Jeff Greason, XCOR Aerospace executive director, speaks in the press release of the company, Liquid rocket engines (LRE) Lynx will provide high safety, reliability and maintainability, and also low operational expenses. These LREs will also reduce to a minimum influence of flights on environment.
