Mirror cameras will become small and thin!
5 August 2008Companies Olympus and Matsushita have together offered format Micro Four Thirds System (Micro 4:3), which will allow to make digital cameras more thin, and objectives to them - lighter. The basic concept of standard Micro 4:3 relies in the opportunity to carry the camera in the pocket.
Now absence of compact mirror cameras constrains demand from usual consumers. As a result such cameras take only 7 percent of the world market of digital cameras.
The new standard will allow making chambers of the smaller size which cannot be let out with preservation of compatibility with present open standard Four Thirds System (4:3). Olympus and Kodak have been created lately and allow cameras to use objectives of other manufacturers. The standard 4:3 is supported by many large cameras’ manufacturers. Micro 4:3 will allow keeping the quality of the image inherent 4:3.
Neither Matsushita, nor Olympus discloses information about the size, and also a design of new cameras. Representatives of corporations have refused to inform terms of occurrence of such chambers on sale, and also the price of these cameras.
