16 April 2007

Computers Zone 51 with hard disk capacity in one terabyte came into the market in the USA.
This is - billion byte of the information, or - if printed - 50 billion sheets. To produce such amount of paper manufacturers would need 50 thousand trees. This new “winchester” is able to store 380 hours (about 16 day) of video record of DVD quality, one million photos in the high resolution, or about 250 thousand of musical files, which is from one and a half till two years of a continuous audio stream.
The first company, which began to take orders for new desktop personal computers with memory size in one terabyte, was corporation Dell. The supermodern “home” computer is supplied into the market under the name Zone 51. The extra-high-power hard disk costs 500 dollars. Other “stuffing” of the computer depends on desire and financial opportunities of the buyer.
