Axis - the convenient digital camera in the form of a cell phone
9 May 2007Designer Matthew Swinton has presented his vision of the convenient digital camera. In Matthew’s opinion, the most ergonomic form for the camera is the form of a cellular telephone. The author has named his concept the Axis. The location of an object-glass is similar to the telephone’s one: on top of the back panel.
In working condition the camera is vertically in one hand that allows the owner to cope with all functions by one finger. On the front panel there is a big LCD for photo and video viewing. Judging from the submitted pictures of a novelty, the objective will not hold an optical zoom, and the size of the camera hardly will allow it to contain qualitative enough matrix. In a result, quality of pictures made with Axis will hardly be much better, than those made cameras in cellular telephones.
