The first-ever color electronic paper

The joint venture of two well-known companies LG.Philips LCD which is engaged in manufacturing of liquid crystal displays, has declared that they have created first-ever color electronic paper of А4 demy.
The sizes of a company’s novelty make about 14,13 inches, thickness of a sheet - only 0,0118 inches. It is necessary to mention that an observation angle of a paper is 180 degrees, and also that fact, that the new electronic paper is able to display up to 4096 colors.
At the same time, the novelty features the lowest power consumption. Owing to the fact that that the image is well viewed even at big observation angles, the image is very precise, even when the display is bend.
According to the LG.Philips LCD executive vice-president, the novelty will be the following generation of displays technology. But when this creation will go on sale and what will be the price is not known yet.
