Toshiba produces the thinnest optical disk drive

These days Toshiba Company announced the first optical disk drive for laptops, which can record disks in HD-DVD-RW format. The new disk drive is as well the thinnest drive in the world - only 0,5000 inches.
It is informed, that record speed of disks with high clearness makes only 1х, and it means that the drive will need only 2 hours to record 30-GB HD-DVD.
The company also informs that the device is able to record two-layer HD-DVD-R and all CD and DVD formats.
Now price of the drive is not disclosed, however, it is known, that Toshiba SD-L912A drive will go on sale in July, 2007. Probably, at the end of a summer the drive will be optionally offered to Toshiba Qosmio laptops.
